Baboon Lookout

Visit one of the Zoo's newest exhibit, Baboon Lookout. Baboons moved into their new home last Spring school holidays. Their new home is three times larger than their previous home and includes steep mounds, pools, palms and foraging areas for them to search for food, just like they would in the wild.

Get views of the baboons like never before with uninterrupted views through glass and across moats. Watch baboons play, groom and search for food, all the things baboons do! Baboon’s are all about family; you’ll discover the challenges living in a large baboon family and who’s boss. Listen to the sounds baboons make to let each other know what’s happening and hear the story of one woman’s life in Africa, and how you can help by buying beads from the Zoo shops.

Kids are free every weekend and all through school holidays so make sure you come and welcome the Baboons into their new home.
