The Grassland Ecosystems

Growling Grass Frog

VELS Levels 5 & 6

Did you know that Grasslands are the most endangered ecosystem in Victoria?

The Grassland Ecosystem is a program set in the Volcanic Plains exhibit at Werribee Open Range Zoo.

Students will be encouraged to make observations that will help them to understand the interconnections between living and non-living things within an ecosystem.

Students will also meet a number of animals native to grassland areas, discuss threats to these animals and their homes and most importantly offer great suggestions of actions they can take to care for grassland ecosystems!
