We are excited to announce that from 1 July, 2011 children under 16 years of age will receive free admission to; Healesville Sanctuary, Melbourne Zoo and Werribee Open Range Zoo; on weekends, Victorian public holidays and Victorian Government school holidays. Find out more.

Hopping Mad!
Healesville Sanctuary has gone hopping mad for kangaroos these school holidays. Join the mob and visit our newly expanded kangaroo playground. For your little joeys there’s a giant jumping pillow, plus some fun new play stuff that’s all about how you compare to kangaroos. How high can you bounce? How long is your hop?  How does your foot size measure up?  Find out when you hop in for a whole lot of fun.

At our Kangaroo Keeper Talk, 11.30am daily, you'll learn how to hop a little more lightly on the land and discover one little change you can make that will make a big difference to our wildlife friends.     

Magic Moments. Bring your mob to meet our mob close-up when you add a family friendly kangaroo Magic Moment to your day. Magic Moments offer a range of close-up animal experiences for just $10 per person or $30 for a family of four. Pre-book 1300 ZOOS VIC or buy at Admissions, subject to availability on the day.

Keeper for a Day 
Holiday Program for Years 7 to 12 students. 
Go behind the scenes to help care for animals and finding out what it's like to be a Keeper.


This program runs from 9:30am to 3:30pm

July 5, 13 & 14- Years 7 & 8 students
July 6 & 12- Years 9-12 students

Cost is $102  (includes morning tea), BYO Lunch.
